5th Annual International Surfing Day Huntington Beach
by J Shubin | Jun 23, 2009 |
On Saturday June, 20th people gathered all over the world to organize a day at the beach. Since I don’t enough time or miles to hit them all we decided to pull into Huntington State Beach.
People gathered to join Surfrider Foundation, grab some swag, test-drive a Surf Prescription at Talbert Rivermouth, clean the beach, and just hang out.
The weather started off a bit funky with a good mist keeping things damp but it didn’t stop the vibe.
Vipe of Monster Energy was wetting people whistles with some drinks while Raz and Chris made sure we didn’t slip in their OAM tent. Surfing Magazine was there to partake along with a handful of others to share the care. We checked out the tents of Future Fins, Foam E-Z, Jack’s, Vans, Surf Prescriptions, and more.
A few of us surfed the bump and after about an hour in the water out came the sun.
Thanks for the good times to all involved.
